Silly Boys January

Just a few random photos that don't fit in anywhere but are awfully cute and fun.

Logan loves to build ABC towers with these blocks.  The whole time we are building them, he waits and waits until the end of the song when the tower is done.  He gets so excited to knock it down and then wants to do it over and over again.

We started a squat challenge with bonus burpees on January 1st.  Here Evan and Logan are joining in too.  Evan needs to work on his burpee form a bit but not bad for a 3 year old.

While we were playing outside one day, Evan was looking for an "expedition bug".  This is the song and performance that followed, including a mention of a new receiver (which Bruce just bought).  I love these Evan originals!

A one man marching band

Santa brought Evan a Jake & the Neverland Pirates music CD for Christmas.  We have been having lots of pirate dance parties, complete with costumes.  Watching this over and over makes me laugh.  Love these boys!

We made paper bag puppets one day.  A blue peacock for Evan and a frog with a long tongue for Logan.  Here is Evan's puppet show.

Camp Out

Today we had a "camp out"...complete with sleeping in the "tent" (a fort that looks like Uncle Dan and Auntie Karin's camper), a picnic lunch and a family photo shoot by the cutest little photographer I have ever seen.  We have been cooped up inside quite a bit with this bitter cold weather but luckily we are finding new and exciting ways to keep the natives from getting too restless!

Unexpected January Trip

Last week while Daddy was walking for the NH Rebellion, the boys and I took an unexpected trip to see Papa & Gramma in Florida.  Two weeks by myself with the boys in the cold snowy weather or a trip to warm, sunny Florida to see two of our most favorite people and get some help with these two little handfuls...I'm sure you can see why we chose option #2!  It was a great trip, not as warm as we had hoped but still certainly much better than MA.  The boys were amazing at the airport and on the flight down!  We had fun being Papa & Gramma's first house guests in their new home at Indian Creek and I think they loved having the boys (and me) there.  We didn't spend much time at the pool, only about an hour and a half, but we were able to get out and run around, go to playgrounds, mini golf and even a quick (windy and chilly) trip to the beach.  I don't think I would have survived 2 entire weeks on my own.  Thank you, Mom and Dad, for all of your help...I don't know what I would do without you!

Selfie

Occasionally I get a glimpse into what the future will be like when Evan is a teenager.

I think we are in trouble! (Especially with that little monkey in the background!)

On the phone

When did my little guy turn into a technology using teenager???

A boy, his dog, his cup and his phone...what more could you want out of life?

Uh, yeah, did you need something?  I'm kinda busy here.

Just like Evan

You may remember this post from when Evan wasn't quite one.  Well it seems that Logan is following in his big brothers footsteps.

I know I'm not supposed to have this but I just have to make one quick call...

Walking and talking like a pro

Ok, yup, I'll see you at 8

Here you go, Dad.  I'm off the phone.

Tunnels and Apples

We've been having fun making all sorts of forts and structures with Evan's Christmas gift from Auntie Karin and Uncle Dan.  Today we made a tunnel that Evan wanted to take a nap in...I think you can imagine how that went.  After "nap time", we had a snack in Evan's room...a special treat!

Logan's First Snowman

With all the snow that has fallen this year, it is hard to believe that this is our first snowman.  But then again it has been so cold that all of the snow has been too fluffy...Until today.  Today was perfect "play in the snow" weather...high 30s/low 40s, a little sunny and not windy.  The boys enjoyed playing for a while and Logan had fun building his first snowman.  Hard to believe that he was too little last year...time is flying!!

Trains!

Evan & Logan's train set has grown quite a bit this year thanks to Omi and Grandpa.  When they visited in December for Christmas, they brought a mine car mountain and some additional track pieces with them.  Once Logan (aka Godzilla) went down for a nap and it was clear that Evan wasn't going to take one, he and I got started on a big train track utilizing as many pieces as we possibly could. It was fun to build and even more fun to play with!
