A Mouse in the Cupboard

I think there is a mouse in this cupboard. I heard a squeak coming from inside.

But wait...I don't think mice have opposable thumbs? Do they?

And I've never met a mouse who likes Apple Cinnamon Cheerios.
Maybe it's not a mouse. But what could it be?
